A l'aube de la seconde Guerre Mondiale un groupe de résistants orgnaise l'exfiltration rocambolesque des chefs-d'oeuvre du Musée du Louvre afin de les soustraire aux Nazis. Celui qui dirige l'opération est Jacques Jaujard, le directeur du Louvre, un homme qui a marqué son époque par sa personnalité hors norme et son amour de l'Art. C'est paradoxalement un haut fonctionnaire, un grand commis de l'Etat qui met sa connaissance des rouages du système, son sens stratège et son incroyable audace au service d'une cause universelle: sauver le patiomoine national.

At the dawn of World War II, a resistance group organizes an incredible exfiltration of masterpieces from the Louvre Museum to save it off the Nazis’ hands. The man leading the operation is Jacques Jaujard, the Louvre Museum’s director. Jaujard had an extraordinary personality and was madly in love with art. Although he was a devoted servant of the State, he used his knowledge of the system and his audacity to serve a universal cause: saving the world heritage.
