The Louvre is a place of intriguing contrasts—both a majestic royal palace and a functional museum, with its vast Seine-side galleries and hidden recesses, splendid staircases and secret corridors. These contrasts inspired Alain Fleischer to make this original film in which the camera's fluid movement captures the details of paintings to the sound of animal cries, creating a haunting and mysterious atmosphere.
