In 1995, the Louvre purchased a monumental cartoon by Giulio Romano (c.1499–1546), representing the young Scipio saving his father at the battle of Ticinus, in northern Italy. This documentary recounts the various stages of its journey to Paris and installation in the Denon Wing of the Louvre.
