Professor Ledoux-Lebard has developed a privileged relationship with museums and curators during the course of his research work and thanks to his collection of French Empire furniture and objects. This film is based on the collector's passion for three "queens" of 19th-century Paris: the actress Mademoiselle Mars, the socialite Juliette Récamier, and Empress Eugénie.
