An exceptional event was held at the Grand Palais in the fall of 1994: a major retrospective of the work of painter Nicolas Poussin (1594–1665), on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the artist's birth. Poussin's major paintings and most beautiful drawings were gathered from all over the world for the occasion. In this film, exhibition curator Pierre Rosenberg explains how and why the works were chosen and arranged in the exhibition.
