This documentary film is a portrait of internationally renowned Taiwanese filmmaker Tsai Ming-Liang, made on the occasion of the filming of Face, his tenth feature film, shot in the fall of 2008 at the Musée du Louvre. Tsai Ming-Liang's original screenplay was inspired by the museum; his film features Laetitia Casta, Fanny Ardant, Jean-Pierre Léaud, Lee Lang-sheng, Jeanne Moreau, Nathalie Baye, and Mathieu Amalric. François Lunel's documentary portrait gives viewers insight into Tsai Ming-Liang's approach to artistic creation and way of working with actors.
