The Villa Barbaro

Architectures series

Editor(s) of the series: Richard Copans, Stan Neumann

The "Architectures" series highlights a selection of the world's most significant monuments, considering each with regard to its historical and geographical context. Each film pays equal attention to the inside and outside of the building in question.

Director(s): Stan Neumann

Scientific advisor(s): Geneviève Bresc

The architect Andrea Palladio revolutionized the design of human habitations, aspiring to a harmony of architecture and natural environment. The Villa Barbaro represents his ideal, an ideal that has no equal in the history of building.
