 The documentary series "Lines, Shapes, Colors" covers several centuries of the history of painting and drawing with a study of the development of techniques. The result is a mini encyclopedia of pictorial techniques which takes a scientific yet sensitive approach to art history.

The film explores the history of the materials that have been used as supports for painting and decoration, with special emphasis on the most popular among them: the wood panel and the canvas.
